Participation in the BRICS Business Forum

Chairman of AFROCOM I.N. Morozov participated in the plenary session of the BRICS Business Forum, which took place on October 18 at the Moscow World Trade Center.

The session was opened by key addresses from President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed Ali, and Chairman of the BRICS Business Council, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin.

Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized the significance of BRICS' expanded membership, which from January 1 includes Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the UAE. He highlighted that BRICS countries are key drivers of economic growth and will increasingly reduce their reliance on external factors. The collective GDP of BRICS now exceeds that of the G7, amounting to over $60 trillion.
