Ruble to be added to the list of currencies used by Egyptian banks by the end of September

A source at the Central Bank of Egypt told Al-Monitor that the Central Bank, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, will allow banks across Egypt to access the Russian Mir payment system.

The decision aims to boost tourism development in Egypt and boost trade relations between the two countries.
