The first results of the Russia-Africa Summer Multidisciplinary University

Specialists from African countries not only took part in exciting courses, but they also got acquainted with the culture and history of Russia. They enjoyed some outdoor activities too. The project is implemented in the framework of the consortium "Russian-African Network University" (RANU), which now includes 42 educational and scientific organizations, as well as with the support of the RF Ministry of Education and Science.

The first intensives classes have been completed at three universities - the Russian State Hydrometeorological University (RSHU), the Southern Federal University (SFU) and the Russian State University (RSU) named after A. N. Kosygin (Technology. Design. Art).

Trainees from Algeria, Burundi, Ghana, Guinea, Egypt, Cameroon, Republic of Congo, Senegal, Tanzania took courses "Engineering and Hydrometeorological Survey", "Climate Change and Disaster Risk", "Tourism", "Modern Information Systems Development Tools".

At the end of August the program was launched in the Crimean Federal University named after. V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University. Doctors from Zimbabwe, Libya, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania and Tunisia are taking intensives on "The Basics of Reproductology" and "Selected Issues of Surgery".

Most of the Russian universities participating in the Russia-Africa project haven't yet to begin their professional development courses.
