Working trip of the Chairman of AFROCOM to African countries
Chairman of the Coordination Committee for Economic Cooperation with African Countries (AFRROCOM), Igor Morozov visited a number of African countries (Republic of Djibouti, Republic of Ghana, Republic of Mali) from July 14th to 24th. In these countries, he had the opportunity to discuss current issues of establishing mutually beneficial partnership with bussines entities, as well as had meetings with goverment authorities.
In particular, in Djibouti, he held talks with the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Y. M. Davale, presenting to the Djiboutian side Russian projects in the areas of digitalization, construction, energy, agriculture and food supply. He also visited the multifunctional port of Doral (DMP), inspected its infrastructure and technological equipment. At a meeting with the Deputy Director General of the port N.U. Elmi and the commercial director A.A. Auledom, all participants expressed their readiness to assist interested Russian companies in the organization of business.
In Accra and Bamako Igor Morozov discussed with potential partners the possibility of joint work in exploration and mining of national resources, energy, road construction, supply of freight and electric transport, etc.
African partners have expressed a desire to actively cooperate with Russian companies in various areas and readiness to quickly solve problems arising in the current difficult business conditions (payment terms, development of optimal logistics, etc.).
Igor Morozov assured his counterparts that Afrocom will fully promote the arrival of Russian technologies and investments in the African market.
