Russian Ambassador to Uganda visits AFROCOM Centre in Kampala
Russian Ambassador to the Republic of Uganda Vladlen Stanislavovich Semivolos visited "AFROCOM Russian Center for Entrepreneurship Support" in Kampala. The meeting was also attended by Director of the Centre Anatoly Piskunov, AFROCOM representative in Uganda Karen Melik-Simonyan, director of "A-Pharm" Alla Piskunova.

The participants of the meeting discussed the results of the business mission to Uganda held in November 2021 and further steps for the Russian regional companies to enter the local markets. In particular, representatives of AFROCOM told about a planned exhibition in Kampala in April 2022 to present products of Ryazan Oblast manufacturers. Other regions, such as Dagestan, have also expressed a desire to take part in the exhibition process in turn.

Among the topics touched upon at the meeting were plans voiced by domestic companies to create a technology park, localization of production and formation of conditions for efficient and safe operation of Russian business in Uganda.

For his part, Vladlen Semivolos commended the work of AFROCOM Centre and assured that the Russian diplomatic mission will provide all possible assistance to its activities.
