Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov held meetings with the heads of Ethiopia and Djibouti
During his working trip to Addis Ababa, Russian President's Special Envoy to the Middle East and African countries, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia and President Omar Guelle of Djibouti on the margins of the 35th Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.

The meetings focused on practical aspects related to the preparation of the second Summit and the Russia-Africa Economic Forum.

The sides also discussed a range of issues on further development of relations between the countries with a focus on boosting mutually beneficial cooperation in trade-economic, humanitarian and other fields. The Russian side has once again reaffirmed its support for the unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ethiopia.

In addition, Mikhail Bogdanov and Foreign Minister of Djibouti Mahamoud Ali Youssouf signed an agreement on visa-free travels for holders of diplomatic and service passports.

It is worth mentioning, that AFROCOM business mission to Ethiopia and Djibouti will start on 19 February, which will familiarize Russian business with opportunities and features of work in these countries.
