Major-General Innocent Oula paid a visit to the AFROCOM Russian Business Support Centre in Kampala, where he met with Mr Anatoly Piskunov, Director of the Centre, and Mr Karen Melik-Simonyan, AFROCOM Uganda Representative.

The parties discussed promising as well as ongoing cooperation projects such as cooperation of Uganda National Enterprise Corporation with a Russian concern.

A Memorandum of Cooperation between AFROCOM Uganda and National Enterprise Corporation is also expected to be signed shortly.

The most important topic of the meeting was the provision by the Ugandan authorities of a site for localization of production of Russian enterprises. A joint visit to the proposed site in Nakasongola District, located in the Central Region of the country, will take place in the near future.

Innocent Oula and representatives of AFROCOM also discussed the forthcoming exposition of products from Russian enterprises in Uganda in April this year.
