An AFROCOM delegation together with the Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Djibouti and Somalia Mikhail Golovanov unveiled a memorial plaque in honor of the arrival in Sagallo (Djibouti) of the first Russian Orthodox mission headed by Archimandrite Paisiy (Balabanov) and Cossack Nikolai Ashinov, sent in 1889 to establish direct contacts with the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
