The president of Mozambique expressed his desire to strengthen relations with Russia

President Filipe Nyusi expressed his intention to continue working with President Vladimir Putin to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation, and he also expressed his gratitude to his Russian partner for the support and solidarity shown for Mozambique while the country is facing "numerous challenges" including the COVID-19 pandemic, peace and security issues, and climate change issues.


"I would like to reaffirm my government’s commitment and mine also to keep working with the Russian government to strengthen the beautiful and historic bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation for the progress and the well-being of our two countries and nations".


President Nyusi said in a message posted on his official Facebook page, which coincided with the celebration of Christmas and New Year.
